Kristin is a business litigation attorney with extensive experience in both state and federal courts. Kristin’s practice areas include employment law, landlord/tenant, franchise relationships, borrower/lender relationships, partnership disputes, Uniform Commercial Code, warranty and other commercial disputes, real estate litigation, construction law and mechanic’s liens. Kristin has also helped clients on land-use permitting, real estate development, and environmental review matters before cities, townships, and other regulatory agencies across several jurisdictions including Minnesota, Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas, Texas, and New Mexico. She has successfully litigated matters across the country.

Kristin structures any business dispute – in or out of court – to pair efficiency and zealous advocacy. At the end of the day, her aim is to obtain a result that is satisfying, provides value, and just feels right to the client.

Kristin earned her J.D., cum laude, from William Mitchell College of Law. During law school, she was a member of the William Mitchell Law Review and served as an assistant editor. Kristin also participated on the Rosalie E. Wahl Moot Court Competition and argued before the Minnesota Court of Appeals during her work with the Legal Assistance to Minnesota Prisoners (LAMP). She received a Master’s in Music from Colorado State University, graduating at the top of her class, and a B.A., magna cum laude, from St. Olaf College.

Kristin is licensed to practice in all Minnesota state and federal courts, Wisconsin state courts, and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin, as well as the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals.

Kristin has been selected as a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers for 2012-2015, was a “Top Women Attorney” from 2014-2016, and as a Super Lawyer for 2018 and 2019.

In her spare time, Kristin enjoys spending time with her family, going to the cabin, exploring her propensities for music, cooking, and “do-it-yourself” projects, and……chatting and laughing with just about anybody.
